PETA in Vegas

Animal rights activists plan to protest in front of the Falcons’ training facility in Flowery Branch over the Michael Vick dog fighting indictment. Members from PETA plan to start their protest around noon, calling for the removal of Vick from the team. The group staged a similar protest in front of NFL headquarters in New York last Friday. PETA also sent letters to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, Falcon’s owner Arthur Blank, and Vick’s sponsors, condemning Vick’s alleged actions and calling for an end to dog fighting. The group also plans to stage another protest on Thursday in Richmond, Virginia, where Vick is to appear in court to face the charges.
