He sleeps in bed with me, is happy and goofy, and has proven to possess an unshakable loyalty to me. Yes, he is a Pit. No, he is not a monster. He is a wonderful, affectionate animal who is clearly capable of love and devotion in the highest degree. When I think of those poor dogs who suffered so cruelly at the hands of that monster I feel sick inside. Not only did Vick so shockingly abuse those innocent animals in the most vile and sick ways, he has done just as wrong in perpetuating the inherently WRONG and badly-won reputation of Pit Bulls as violent killing machines. Anyone who disagrees is invited to meet my dog. After he quits licking you, maybe you'll agree. Michael Vick's actions are so vile and horrific that I can't even stand to think of them. Torturing those animals who could not save themselves for his own sick entertainment is unforgivable. As for Emmitt Smith as well as those people who say we shouldn't be as shocked by the indictment since "they're only dogs," I remain stunned by such callous and disgusting attitudes from you. If you cannot see the evil in these acts, and can look at images of those poor dogs after such viciousness without being sickened and angered, then you deserve a hero like Michael.
