It appears that you can add Falcons owner Arthur Blank on the list of those that are clearly no longer a fan of Falcons QB Michael Vick. While everyone sits and waits to see if Vick will accpet a plea bargin deal in his dogfighting case, Blank spoke out against his franchise player before the Falcons took the field Friday night vs the Buffalo Bills. The first thing Blank pointed out to the AP flat out was that Vick lied to him. “What’s suggested in those statements of fact don’t match up with what the league was told, even our organization and certainly not what was said to the commissioner,” Blank said.

Friday was a stressful day enough for Vick, who has been in contact recently with his teammates from Atlanta. Two of his co-defendants early in the day took a plea deal and basically came out against Vick and said that he was a huge part of the ring that police uncovered a few months back. Then his owner comes out and throws him under the bus as well? You can for sure say that Vick has seen better days.

“It’s sad that those allegations exist and now they are confirmed by others,” Blank said. “It’s sad that Michael has put himself into that kind of situation. It’s his responsibility for putting himself into that situation.”
