An animal rights activist is reacting after New York Knicks star Stephon Marbury made comments about the situation Michael Vick is in. Marbury told “Capital News 9″ in Albany, New York that he doesn’t think dogfighting is that big of a deal.
He went on to say Michael Vick is a, quote, “superb athlete and a good human being” who just fell into a bad situation. Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society Executive Director Brad Shear says he was disappointed in Marbury’s comments, adding they reflect a, quote, “lack of education.” Vick is scheduled to appear in court Monday to plead guilty to federal dogfighting charges.
