Vick Lawyers To Answer Dogfighting Charges In Surry County

The former star at Virginia Tech is not expected to appear in court. The 27-year-old Vick was indicted by a grand jury in Surry County late last month for dogfighting and cruelty to animals. Each charge is punishable by up to five years behind bars. He will learn his punishment in federal court in Richmond on December 10th after pleading guilty to a charge of scheming to dogfight. The “Richmond Times-Dispatch” reports that accusation also could land him in the slammer for up to five years.
