Leftwich Scheduled For Sunday Start Versus Saints

The Falcons will start backup quarterback Byron Leftwich Sunday against the division-rival New Orleans Saints.  Leftwich will start in place of Joey Harrington, who has guided the team to a woeful 1-and-5 record so far this season.  Harrington is one of the league’s most sacked quarterbacks, but has faired pretty well otherwise, completing 123-of-195 passes for 12,079 yards and four touchdowns.  Leftwich was signed by the Falcons to a two-year deal after being released by Jacksonville.
