Falcons React Negatively To Firing Of Jackson

News of the decision to cut Grady Jackson is not sitting well with some Falcons this week. Several of the team’s veterans refused comment on the release of the defensive lineman, but outspoken Falcon DeAngelo Hall made his opinion known on Wednesday. He’s upset because he says head coach Bobby Petrino didn’t address the matter at a recent team meeting. Hall says cutting Jackson makes no sense when no one is playing as well as they should be and that the team’s 1-and-6 record reflects that. Rookie Trey Lewis will assume the starting job held by Jackson when the Falcons take on the San Francisco 49ers on November 4th. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
