Just to “clear the air,” Falcons head coach Bobby Petrino and cornerback DeAngelo Hall met Monday before practice to talk about some of the comments Hall has made of late as to the direction of the franchise.  Hall seemed flat out irate last week after the team said “so long” to veteran defensive tackle Grady Jackson.  Hall questioned what direction the franchise was headed in.  “Obviously you don’t like to see some of those comments made,” Petrino said. “I understand part of it I guess. I certainly had a meeting with DeAngelo and we’ll put it behind us and move on.”

Petrino said that the meeting went well and that the pair are ready to move on.  Hall agreed.  “Yeah, that’s the game plan,” he said.  Petrino did say that some of the vets on the team were told about Jackson being let go before it hit the media, which is one of the reasons Hall was mad about the situation.  The coach said part of the reason that Hall didn’t get a call was because he got a new phone.
