The 25-year veteran set the record for career points last season on December 16th, then became the NFL’s career leader in field goals made a week later. He holds several other records, including most games played with 373, most field goal attempts with 698 and most consecutive games with at least a point with 346. His 40 career 50-yard field goals also ranks first all-time. Andersen credits his teammates through the years for all of his accomplishments. He says that he hopes reaching 2,500 points will urge other players to challenge the record.
