Redman Named Starter for Monday Night vs Saints
Posted by Matt Loede on December 6th, 2007 in News
The Falcons have made the news official – Chris Redman will start at QB Monday night vs the Saints. Redman was named the starter today by coach Bobby Petrino, three days after the coach declined to name a starter after Sunday’s loss to the Rams. It’s the third QB that the Faclons used in this tough 3-9 season. “It’s been different. There’s no doubt about that,” Petrino said. “We haven’t had the continuity that you normally have.” Redman came in Sunday when Joey Harrington was struggling, and threw for two scores. Last year he was selling insurance – now he’s the starting QB of the Falcons. Go figure.
