Falcons Owner Speaks About Petrino
Posted by Matt Loede on December 13th, 2007 in News
Falcons owner Arthur Blank addressed the media Wednesday in regard to the resignation of head coach Bobby Petrino. Blank says he made a huge commitment to Petrino that he feels he did not fulfill. He added that Petrino did not pick a good time to walk away. Petrino resigned from the Falcons on Tuesday, then was named the new head coach at the University of Arkansas. He was in the first year of a five-year contract with the Falcons after leaving the University of Louisville in January. Secondary coach Emmitt Thomas will serve as interim coach for the team’s final three games of the season. The Falcons are 3-and-10.
