The Falcons are now looking to Jacksonville in their quest to find a new coach to replace Bobby Petrino, who resigned toward the end of the regular season to take a head coaching position at the University of Arkansas. In a related development, New York Giants vice president of player evaluation Chris Mara withdrew his name from consideration for the GM vacancy. On Thursday, a committee headed by outgoing GM/president Rich McKay traveled to Jacksonville to interview Jaguars defensive coordinator Mike Smith. An interview with Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz will take place today in Atlanta.
