Looks Like Falcons will have to Wait to talk to Spagnuolo

Looks like the Falcons head coaching search is going to go longer, possibly after the Pats-Giants Super Bowl in two weeks. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that the team has set it sights Steve Spagnuolo, defensive coordinator for the Giants. That means that the Falcons are going to have to wait till after the February 3rd game to talk to Spagnuolo. NFL rules say that the team cannot talk to Spagnuolo until after that game. The Falcons were already denied permission to talk to Spagnuolo two weeks ago before the Giants took on the Cowboys in the divisional playoff game. It now looks like the 48-year-old may be the front runner for the post with other coaches dropping like flies that would or had been up for the position.
