Falcons Sign Texans CB Von Hutchins

The Falcons today agreed to terms with four-year veteran cornerback Von Hutchins. Hutchins was originally selected in the sixth round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. He spent two seasons in a Colts uniform before joining the Houston Texans in 2006. Hutchins career totals include 142 tackles (112 solo), two interceptions and one interception return for a touchdown. Last season, Hutchins competed in 16 games for the Texans, starting in 15. He contributed with a career-high 94 tackles (77 solo), one interception, a half of a sack and six passes defensed.

    Von goes off, he’ll do good things for the Falcons. Texans should have signed him back for his versatile S/CB abilities. If the Law ever goes down, Hutchins can be the man.
