Not that this is exactly earth-shattering news, but the Atlanta Falcons needed to at the very least compensate for the loss of tight end Alge Crumpler; the team on Friday signed TE Jason Rader; Rader played four games for the Miami Dolphins in 2006, making one start. He was signed by the New England Patriots and assigned to their practice squad, but was released by the team on September 30.
