The Falcons get another third-round draft pick this week, giving them a total of 11 selections for the upcoming NFL draft.  The league awarded the Falcons an additional pick through its compensatory process where teams are allowed additional picks to offset the loss of high-calibur free agents.  Recent losses of Patrick Kerney, Justin Griffith and Ashley Lelie to other teams led the NFL to award Atlanta with the third-highest compensatory pick doled out.

The Falcons now get six picks in the first three rounds as team management attempts to stockpile talent on a roster in need of some help on the heels of a four-win 2007 season.  The NFL draft is set for April 26th and 27th.
