Falcons Name Caldwell Director of College Scouting

The Falcons have named David Caldwell Director of College Scouting. Caldwell concluded his 10th season with the Indianapolis Colts last year and his second as the Western Regional Scout. From 1998 to 2005 he served as an Area Scout for Indianapolis following a two-year stint as a Scouting Assistant with the Carolina Panthers (1996-97). “I’m very pleased to add David Caldwell to our organization,” said General Manager Thomas Dimitroff. “He comes to us from a highly respected and very successful team.

He is well respected around the NFL and will be a great asset to the scouting department.” Caldwell is a graduate of John Carroll University, earning a bachelor’s degree in finance/business administration. He was a two-year letterman as an outside linebacker helping the Blue Streaks to an Ohio Athletic Conference title in 1994. A native of Buffalo, N. Y., Caldwell is married to his wife, Joelle, and the two have a son, David Michael II.
