Brooking Likley to Be Released Before He’s Due $1 Mil Bonus

Pro Football Weekly indicates that Keith Brooking is likely to be released before February 23, when he is due a $1 million bonus. Brooking chipped in 102 tackles in 2008, but the Falcons intend to revamp their defense with younger players, in a bid to improve their 24th defensive ranking in 2008. The 33-year-old vet is slowing down and holds a $8.3MM cap figure for 2009.
