It’s been no secret that the Falcons want to move QB Michael Vick, but coach Mike Smith has yet to say very much about the situation, and today in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, he declined to talk about the deal with Vick.
Falcons coach Mike Smith refused to address the team’s desire to trade the contractual rights to quarterback Michael Vick Thursday while at the NFL scouting combine. “We are in an obvious trade situation with Michael Vick and I don’t think it would be real appropriate for me to talk about the situation,” Smith said. “I know that Thomas Dimitroff did, through our website, in a questions and answers. It’s ongoing. If there is anything in terms of news that we have to talk about, we’ll let you guys know.” Several teams, Detroit, New York Jets, Tampa Bay and San Francisco have stated they are not interested in obtaining Vick.
