Posted in Veteran center Jeremy Newberry is done, as PFT.com reports that the center is retiring from football. Seems that Newberry’s knee, which he had microfracture surgery on aobut five years ago, has been getting worse. “As he was getting ready for camp,” the source said, “his knee just got worse and worse.”
As the site reports, this could open the door for the club to bring back Alex Stepanovich, who was cut not long the birds signed Newberry. Stay turned, as the team may just bring him back after this announcement is made official by the club.
