Rookie Safety Moore to Miss 2-4 Weeks
Pro Football Weekly reports that rookie William Moore will miss two to four weeks:
According to published reports, Falcons rookie SS William Moore will miss two to four weeks while he recovers from a minor surgical procedure.
Head coach Mike Smith confirmed that the second-round draft choice out of Missouri had sustained the injury, but downplayed its severity.
“William had a procedure done on his knee,” Smith said. “The procedure was done earlier today in response to an injury that occurred two days ago. It’s nothing major but, of course, any time you lose a guy — especially a rookie — that’s not going to have the opportunity to work on the field, he’s going to have to do some extra work in the classroom.”
The 6-foot, 221-pound Moore was expected to push second-year man Thomas DeCoud for the starting role.
