Cornerback Brian Williams found a new home on Sunday as he and the Atlanta Falcons agreed to terms on a contract.
An eight-year veteran who was drafted in the 4th round of the 2002 NFL draft out of North Carolina State, Williams has started 93 games and has played previously for the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars; he has 18 career interceptions.
Along with the Williams signing, the team added eight players to its practice squad; they are: quarterback D.J. Shockley, wide receiver Troy Bergeron, offensive lineman Michael Butterworth, linebacker Robert James, defensive end Maurice Lucas, cornerback Glenn Sharpe, offensive guard Jose Valdez and defensive tackle Vance Walker.
