Pro Football Weekly reports that rookie Chris Owens will be in the mix to be in the secondary as a starter next year:

Word is Falcons rookie Chris Owens has all but ensured he will be in the mix to open next season as the team’s starting left cornerback. Atlanta lost Domonique Foxworth, who played left corner for the team during the second half of last season, to the Ravens in the offseason and replaced him with eighth-year veteran Brian Williams, but he tore his ACL in Week Six. The Falcons gave Brent Grimes and Tye Hill each a chance before vaulting Owens, who has started the last five games, into the lineup and the third-round pick is still adjusting to the speed of the game, but we hear the Falcons like his toughness.
