CB Grimes Added to the Pro Bowl Roster

Now that the Packers are in the Super Bowl, their players on the Pro Bowl roster need to be replaced, and with that the Falcons have another player on the roster. The team will send cornerback Brent Grimes to the game in Hawaii, the 9th member of the club to be on the roster.

Grimes will replace Packers cornerback Charles Woodson. He will join teammates defensive end John Abraham, tackle Tyson Clabo, tight end Tony Gonzalez, fullback Ovie Mughelli, quarterback Matt Ryan, running back Michael Turner, wide receiver/special team specialist Eric Weems and wide receiver Roddy White in Hawaii on January 30, 2011.

The nine players by one team is a league-high and a franchise record. In 2010, Grimes was targeted a league-high 119 times by opponents (according to STATS, Inc.) Grimes answered the challenge, posting an NFC-best and a franchise record 23 passes defensed to go with his five interceptions.
