Source: Falcons DT Peters set to return Sunday at Buccaneers

Aaron Wilson of Scout.com reports Falcons starting defensive tackle Corey Peters is ready to return to play Sunday in Tampa Bay following a patellar tendon injury in his left knee suffered during a preseason practice that didn’t require surgery, according to an NFL source with insight of the matter.

Peters, a young and aspiring interior defensive linemen, started 15 contests as a rookie last season for the Dirty Birds.  He registered 40 tackles (31 solo), one sack and one pass deflection.

The Kentucky product was drafted in the third round with the 83rd overall selection.
