Falcons safety William Moore was fined $7,500 by the NFL for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Tampa Bay quarterback Josh Freeman, but a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN that the Falcons safety wasn’t fined for that hit, which did not draw a penalty.
Moore was instead fined $7,500 for striking Earnest Graham with his helmet in the third quarter, the source told ESPN’s Schefter. Moore was flagged for that hit.
Moore said Wednesday he didn’t agree with the fine but didn’t say if he planned to file an appeal.
