Preseason Week Three Pregame Injury Report

Here’s the pregame injury report for tonight’s third preseason game against the Dolphins in Miami;

In:
-Lamar Holmes. Rookie left tackle set to make NFL debut after missing preseason weeks one and two with toe injury.
-Akeem Dent. Missed Cincinnati game with a concussion, has returned to contact drills and is cleared to play tonight. Heir-apparent to Curtis Lofton at MLB.

Out:
-Kevin Cone. Favorite to win fifth receiver job suffered a concussion in last Saturday’s practice and is inactive against Miami.
-Shann Schillinger. The man whose hit landed Cone on the injured list is out for tonight with a foot injury. Schillinger figures to make the roster as a backup safety and special teams player
-Elisha Joseph. Insurance at defensive tackle is battling a concussion. Joseph will likely be out of a job in Atlanta when he returns to full health.
-Darrin Walls. Leading Falcons tackler from last week’s game suffered a leg injury (believed to be quadriceps) in Saturday’s practice, and has been ruled out of tonight’s game for precautionary reasons.
-Will Svitek. Veteran offensive tackle is out for the season with an arm injury, making Sam Baker the official starting left tackle.
-Corey Peters. No surprise here as defensive lineman continues to deal with injury to his foot.

Questionable/Unknown
-Kerry Meier. Injured for last week’s game, Meier hasn’t officially been ruled in or out of the Miami game.
-Christopher Owens. Hamstring injury has kept the veteran cornerback out of the preseason. Impressed in Playoff game last year and even had a sack against the Vikings.

Probable:
-Jason Snelling. No noted set backs in practice, and Mike Smith wants to evaluate his run game against Dolphins tonight.
