Falcons Gab Rapid Recap: Ryan and Jones Combine to Bomb Chiefs 40-24

Welcome to 2012 Matt Ryan.

The Falcons signal caller was dominant, going for 299 yards and three scores as the Falcons flew with ease past the Chiefs 40-24 at Arrowhead Stadium Sunday afternoon.

The KC defense had no answer for Ryan, WR Julio Jones and the Falcons offense, which put up 40 points, and a total of 376 yards of offense.

The Chiefs secondary got picked on all day, with Jones going off for 6 grabs for 108 yards with two scores.

Former Chiefs TE Tony Gonzalez had 5 grabs for 53 yards with a score in what will be likely his final game at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Falcons defense got two picks out of Chiefs QB Matt Cassel, and two Ryan TD’s in a short span in the 3rd quarter, one in the air and one on the ground, turned a 20-14 game into a 34-14 game.

Atlanta will host Peyton Manning and the Broncos next Monday night.
