Falcons Face Steep Test On Road Against Cam Newton And Panthers

The Carolina Panthers will host the Atlanta Falcons in an NFC South matchup with two teams in reverse positions than many expected at the start of the season. The average price of this game is $171, which is 27% above the average cost of Carolina Panthers tickets this season. For Atlanta fans, the price is 27% below the average cost for Falcons tickets on the road. The price has dropped 7% in the past week, giving a great opportunity to see a vastly improved Panthers team at home. The starting price for this game is just $50.

That improvement is a big reason behind the above average price for this game. There’s finally a reason for optimism in Carolina and the fans can sense it. After last Thursday’s win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Panthers went over .500 for the first time in 70 games. Carolina has been even more dominant than their 4-3 record would indicate. The Panthers have won their last three games 35-10, 30-15 and 31-13. They are currently sixth in points scored and second in points against. Quarterback Cam Newton has career highs in both completion percentage and touchdown rate. Running back Jonathan Stewart will also be activated before the game from the physically unable to perform list, which will allow a Panthers offense that has already been playing well to be at full strength for the first time this season.

Carolina is 2-1 at home this season with convincing wins against the New York Giants and St. Louis Rams with the only loss coming in a close defensive battle against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1. The Panthers don’t look they’re slowing down and playing a fading Falcons team possibly missing their top two receivers could be a perfect opponent to continue the three game winning streak the team is on.
