Former Lions safety Louis Delmas was in Pittsburgh Monday to chat with the Steelers, but according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Delmas is gathering more interest.
Delmas will be lining up more visits after the combine, and one of those visits will include the Falcons. La Canfora says he will also talk with the AFC Champion Denver Broncos.
The Lions dumped the 26-year-old Delmas last week, this despite his starting 16 games last season and recording three picks with two sacks.
Delmas inked a deal before last season that was to pay him $9.5 mil over two years.
Detroit has stated they would like to bring back Delmas, but there’s nothing to say the Falcons can’t steal him away before that.
The Falcons have to make sure that Delmas is healthy, as he’s battled knee issues, and he wasn’t able to practice much last season.
