Starting CB Robert Alford Suffers Broken Wrist In Win

Falcons starting cornerback Robert Alford broke his wrist in Sunday’s 19-17 win over the Panthers according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Alford was a second-round pick of the Falcons in 2013 out of Southeastern Louisiana and has started every game for the Falcons this season.

He hasn’t exactly played at a lights-out level as evidenced by the Falcons’ dismal ranking as a pass defense across the board but is probably the best the Falcons have.

Robert McClain replaced Alford on Sunday and would likely be the next man up for an extended stay in the lineup across from Desmond Trufant.
