Falcons Looking at Extensions for Dimitroff and Smith

The Falcons brass will meet with general manager Thomas Dimitroff and head coach Mike Smith to discuss multi-year contract extensions next week, according to Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com.

Smith, who is coaching the NFC Pro Bowl team, has led the Falcons to two postseason appearances in his first three years on the job while compiling a 33-15 regular-season record.

Dimitroff, who was hired in 2008, is largely responsible for building the Falcons into one of the NFC’s most talented teams, including drafting Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Ryan and signing Pro Bowl running back Michael Turner as a free agent.
